UPHIA Survey Winning Hearts in Bukwo as Communities Embrace Health

The UPHIA survey monitoring team has met with the health data collection team in Bukwo District, where residents are actively embracing the ongoing health data collection exercise. Communities are responding positively, with households willingly allowing blood samples to be taken.

The Uganda Population-based HIV Impact Assessment (UPHIA) 2024–2025 survey is focused on determining HIV prevalence rates across communities, while also gathering crucial data on non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, obesity, and high blood pressure.

The Ministry of Health, together with the Government of Uganda, is encouraging all sampled households to participate voluntarily in this life-saving exercise. Their involvement will provide accurate data that will inform national health policies and strengthen Uganda's fight against HIV and other emerging health challenges.

By embracing this survey, Ugandans are not only supporting the Ministry of Health but also contributing to shaping a healthier and stronger nation.
