Why UPHIA 2024-2025?

The Uganda Population-Based HIV Impact Assessment (UPHIA) 2024-2025 is a critical national survey that provides essential data to guide Uganda\s HIV response toward achieving epidemic control.

Building on the success of previous population-based surveys, UPHIA 2024-2025 will generate the evidence needed to:

  • Assess progress toward the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets
  • Identify remaining gaps in HIV prevention, testing, and treatment
  • Inform targeted interventions for key populations
  • Guide resource allocation and policy decisions
  • Evaluate the impact of existing HIV programs
